The Bold and the Beautiful's Jacob Young (ex-J.R. Chandler, All My Children; ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital) may juggle quite a lot of scripts as front-and-center character Rick Forrester, but the true balancing act happens at home, where he and his wife, Christen, are raising three children.
Young recently spoke with Soap Central about what it's been like to have one-year-old daughter Grace Elizabeth at home with big sister Molly, 3, and brother, Luke, 8.
"It wears you out. It's really tiresome!" he says with a laugh. "But being a parent is a great job, and it gets easier. I think the more you have, the easier it gets, because the more parental skills you have."
Of course, having made the decision to move his family to Utah a couple of years ago also helped make the whole parenting thing more of a breeze. As Young points out, the western state is a great place to raise children -- especially in comparison to his former urban homesteads, Los Angeles and New York City.
"[Being in Utah] is great structure," he shares of why he chose to relocate. "It's so beautiful, to begin with. And the place that we found and the area that we found is just captivating. It's somewhere I always imagined my family to be raised and to be around."
