Fans who have ever wanted to see The Bold and the Beautiful's Dollar Bill Spencer shake his groove thing are about to have their dreams (somewhat) come true. Bill isn't likely to suddenly break into dance, but his portrayer, Don Diamont, sure is.
In a social media post written in Italian and English, the sexy actor announced that he has joined the cast of Italy's Dancing With the Stars.
"For my non-Italian speaking fans, I've joined the marvelous cast of Dancing With The Stars Italy 2018 and have been partnered with brilliant, beautiful, @hanna_karttunen," he wrote. "It's quite a challenge, and I'm very excited for the experience. Dancing $Bill??? Lol. Let's find out. Ciao!"
Diamont's dancing partner, Hanna Karttunen, is a Finnish professional dancer who starred on Britain's Strictly Come Dancing in 2004 and has appeared as a guest on the American, Russian, South African, and Italian editions of the show. She also danced with B&B alum Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon Sharpe) when he did a cameo on Ballando Con Le Stelle (see below).
If Diamont is successful on the primetime series, he will have to be in Italy for an extended period of time -- which may be why the tides seem to be turning toward a "who shot Bill" storyline on B&B at the moment. No matter what, there seem to be a lot of twists and turns ahead (both on and off the dance floor).
Considering B&B's success in Italy, Diamont is not the first American soap star to hit the dance floor on the country's version of Dancing With the Stars. Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) was a contestant on the show back in 2014.
