The Bold and the Beautiful is gearing up for a heated custody battle between Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Katie Logan (Heather Tom), and the CBS soap opera has found just the man to play the judge who seals little Will's future: Joe Lando.
EW reports that the actor, widely known as Jane Seymour's on-screen husband Byron Sully on the mid-90s hit Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, has signed on to play the recurring role of Judge Craig McMullen. And as B&B fans likely already know, the judge will have his hands full. After all, not only are Bill and Katie some of the feistiest characters on the canvas, Katie's new man Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) will also be involved in the courtroom drama.
Luckily, Lando has soap opera experience and should be able to handle himself quite well during the custody battle circus. He briefly played the role of Jake Harrison on One Life to Live and is also known as Guiding Light's Macauley West, a role he played in 1993 -- the same year he joined Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
Some of Lando's more recent credits include Hit the Floor and The Secret Circle. He also starred as Lee Nelson on the digital drama The Bay from 2010 to 2011.
Viewers can watch for Lando's first B&B episode to air on Thursday, September 20.
