Remember that "great stuff" that Days of our Lives' Martha Madison (Belle Black) promised would come as soon as she and Brandon Beemer (Shawn-Douglas Brady) returned to Salem this fall? It turns out it's going to be a lot more great stuff than viewers might have first thought.
In a recent interview, Madison reveals that she and her costar won't be dropping back onto television screens across the country for just a day or two, but rather they'll be appearing on the NBC soap opera for an extended run.
"Belle is going to be back with Shawn late August, I think we start, for a couple of months," she shared with Soap Hub.
This comes as a huge surprise for some fans, as many assumed that the pair would be returning solely for John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena's (Deidre Hall) upcoming wedding.
Madison was unable to reveal exactly what inspires Belle and Shawn to stay in Salem on a longer-term basis, but she shares that her return was an absolute blast.
"I loved the story that we did," she enthuses. "It was probably one of my favorite times being at DAYS so I'm really excited to see how people respond to it."
Madison made her first appearance as Belle in August 2004, while Beemer took on the role of Shawn in 2006. The pair exited the show in 2008, but they've made occasional appearances since 2015.
