Days of our Lives fans have known it was coming since June, but today -- November 20 -- is officially the day that Christopher Sean wraps up his run as Paul Narita.
As previously reported by Soap Central, Sean opted not to renew his contract with the NBC soap. Due to DAYS' production schedule, Sean has long since taped his final scenes. Still, the actor seems slightly overcome now that those final scenes are hitting the airwaves.
"It's been an amazing 4 years with @nbcdays :) I am so honored to have the opportunity to bring Paul Narita to life, a Japanese American Gay Professional Baseball Player," Sean shared on Instagram. "Representation is so important because we all have an equal place and we all are an important resource to America's history, not one more important than the other. Change comes when we understand that. Thank you @nbc For taking a chance with me. Thank you Bruce Evans and Ken Corday and Marnie Saitta, Albert Alarr and Janet Rider, Jennifer Sinclair... the list goes on and on. To all the cast and crew on Days, my extended family, thank you! I've grown so much with you and created such wonderful memories. To the fans, none of this would be possible without you. All my love and thanks. My final farewell on Days... whoa. I will miss you all, my home, my beginning. Until Next Time."
Sean already has his proverbial next time -- but fans won't actually get to see him. How's that possible? The actor has landed a role in the Disney series Star Wars Resistance. In fact, Sean's character even has its own action figure.
Sean's exit had been rumored for some time -- and Sean even initially denied the reports. "Don't worry everyone. I'm not leaving DAYS," he tweeted to his 38 thousand followers in February. Four months later, Sean took to Instagram to reveal that he would be leaving DAYS.
