For just the second time in its history, The Bold and the Beautiful's writers were named Outstanding Writing Team.
"Wow. Wonderful," head writer Bradley Bell said after accepting the award. "I've been writing this show for over 20 years, and I don't think I could write one word without the incredible love story that I'm living of my own with my wife, the beautiful Colleen Bell. You made this all happen."
Bell had previously stated -- perhaps in jest -- that he'd retire from writing if The Bold and the Beautiful were ever to win the Outstanding Writing Team trophy. That was before the show won in 2010. Now, with its second win, Bell shows no signs of slowing down.
For just the second time in 27 years, a directing team from The Bold and the Beautiful has won top honors at the the Daytime Emmys.
"Thank you. I want to thank CBS and Brad Bell and the Bell family, our cast and crew on The Bold and the Beautiful, and my wife, Cheryl," director Michael Stich said in accepting the award. "Thank you very much."
For its Emmy reel, B&B selected two visually appealing episodes shot entirely in Italy.
The Bold and the Beautiful did not receive its first Directing nomination until 2000. Since that time, the show has been nominated seven additional times.
