The controversy surrounding Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is spurring soap opera stars to speak out against the potential commander in chief in an unprecedented manner. Hot on the heels of the emotional open letter All My Children alum and former U.S. Army soldier J.R. Martinez (ex-Brot Monroe) penned to Mr. Trump, General Hospital star Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry Jacks) is slamming supporters of the candidate.
The Parisian-born actor took to Twitter with a link to a NY Times article that documents a series of vitriolic and violent slogans seen at Trump's campaign events. "This is who you are Trump supporters," he wrote. "Shame on your hatred, bigotry & racism."
Roché played GH's Jerry Jacks on-again, off-again from 2007 to 2015. He can next be seen as Cardinal Michel Marivaux in the upcoming HBO series The Young Pope opposite Jude Law and Diane Keaton.
