This week is a big one for General Hospital fans, as Roger Howarth is retuning in the role of Franco after a several-month absence.
The ABC soap's head writer, Shelly Altman, teases that the steamy storyline they've penned for the actor's return will keep viewers' summers sizzling.
"He returns anxious to have romantic moments [with Rebecca Herbst's Liz] and he will not be disappointed -- nor will the 'Friz' fans," she revealed to Soap Opera Digest.
Though Howarth has been offscreen for the past several months, he says viewer love has been stronger than ever.
"I truly appreciate the overwhelming fan support," he shares. "They are truly amazing and I'm grateful."
Howarth took on the role of Franco in 2013. The character was originally played by Hollywood actor James Franco, who exited the soap in 2012.
