With the speed at which soap operas move these days, not everyone can deliver their best work each and every time. In fact, sometimes daytime actors really fall on their faces when trying to keep up with the fast pace. Though one is usually hard-pressed to find a star who's willing to open up about such clumsy circumstances, General Hospital star Lisa Locicero (Olivia Falconeri) graced us with her very candid answer to the question: "Have you ever been acting with a costar and thought, 'What the hell are they doing'?"
Her answer: "Yes, I have. I have on one or two occasions been taken out of the scene thinking, 'Are you really going to do it like that' and I certainly will not say when that occurred!"
That being said, she's absolutely certain some of her costars have had similar thoughts about her.
"I guarantee you, a few of my costars have felt the same about me. Like, 'She knows we're taping, right''' she says with a laugh.
The really tough part, though, is knowing that whatever work she and other GH actors deliver is out there for good -- no matter how bad or good it might be.
"[Everything is] out there on TV for millions of people to see. And you're like, 'This is it, this is great! I'm really throwing it against the wall!' And then it's like, 'Uh-oh. That is not what I expected!''" she shares. "It's not like it's filtered through like in a big movie production or something, where someone edits all the best moments together. What we do, it's balls to the wall, one take, throw it out there. And that's what's great about soap operas. Sometimes it works, and on rare occasions, it isn't what you expected."
