Good news for fans of former General Hospital star Kelly Thiebaud (ex-Britt Westbourne). The actress shares that she has booked a new role on an ABC series.
Thiebaud took to Twitter to announce the exciting news, but unfortunately, she was only able to share that she is working, rather than what exact show she is working on.
"I had the best time working last night! Booked a lil role on an #abc show," she shared. "More details to come. Excited for y'all to see it!"
Thiebaud took on the role of GH's Britt in 2012 and played the role for two years before being written off the ABC soap opera. Britt has made a couple of return appearances since then, including a brief visit to watch the Nurses Ball with Brad in 2015, a short stint in December of 2017 as part of the Two Jasons mystery, and a short stint in 2018, which was her most recent return to Port Charles.
UPDATE (January 23, 2020): Soap Central can confirm that the ABC series Kelly Thiebaud has joined is the Grey's Anatomy spinoff Station 19. The third season of the series premieres tonight, January 23, and her first appearance in the recurring role of Eva is set to happen on Thursday, January 30, in the show's new time slot of 8PM.
Station 19 stars Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andy Herrera, Jason George as Ben Warren, Boris Kodjoe as Captain Robert Sullivan, Grey Damon as Jack Gibson, Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes, Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery, Okieriete Onaodowan as Dean Miller, Danielle Savre as Maya Bishop, and Miguel Sandoval as Captain Pruitt Herrera.
Theibaud's debut episode, titled "Indoor Fireworks," will see the new Seattle fire chief introduced to Station 19, leaving the crew skeptical after his visit. Later, the firefighters are called to a department store fire caused by exploding fireworks, which triggers painful memories from Ben's past and inspires him to pursue a new endeavor. Meanwhile, Maya advocates for herself and her career, Jack becomes more intertwined with an acquaintance, and Andy and Ryan have a heart-to-heart.
