There's no stopping Guiding Light alum Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan Randall), who has just landed a new film following his head-turning role in the Netflix series Ozark and his critically acclaimed role in the David Fincher film Mank.
The New Jersey native has boarded the upcoming Universal, Plan B, and Annapurna film She Said, which will retell the story of the investigation into sexual assault and harassment perpetrated by Harvey Weinstein.
According to Deadline, Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan are on board to portray New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, who broke the bombshell sex scandal report, while Pelphrey has signed on to play Twohey's husband.
Andre Braugher, Patricia Clarkson, Sean Cullen (ex-Gil Robson, GL; ex-Dr. Edward Levin, One Life to Live), and Patricia Clarkson (ex-Marlena MacDonald, Another World) have also signed on to the film, which is based on Twohey and Kantor's bestseller, She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement.
Tom Pelphrey starred on GL from 2004 to 2009, winning two Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on the CBS soap opera. After he left GL, he briefly appeared on As the World Turns as Mick Dante before going on to shows like The Good Wife, Banshee, and Iron Fist. He just finished shooting the next season of Amazon's Outer Range and was also recently tapped to star in HBO Max's Love and Death.
