Former One Life to Live star Laura Harrier (ex-Destiny Evans) has some pretty major news to share: she has been cast in the leading role in the upcoming Jamie Adams film Balance, Not Symmetry.
The actress took to social media to announce her part in the film, writing: "In case you've been wondering what the hell I'm doing in Scotland!"
Balance, Not Symmetry follows an American student (Laura Harrier) who is living a privileged existence at Glasgow School of Art when her father unexpectedly dies. Consumed with her loss, she finds herself reexamining both her life and her inner circle, including best friend Hannah (Bria Vinnaite). After a chance encounter with Rory (Scott Miller), an unexpected spark lights within her, and she finds herself torn between two worlds.
Simon Neil, frontman of the Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro, is collaborating on the screenplay and writing original songs for the film. The soundtrack of original material, also titled Balance, Not Symmetry, will be released as a standalone Biffy Clyro album.
Director Adams is known for films like Black Mountain Poets and Wild Honey Pie.
Harrier's very first professional credit was the role of OLTL's Destiny, which she played in 2013. After departing Llanview, she went on to appear in films like The Last Five Years, Spider-man: Homecoming, and BlacKkKlansman.
