We admit that every year around Halloween we get a little nostalgic for the witches, demons, and other ghouly delights that made Passions so special. This year, though, an unlikely suspect is making us miss Passions all over again: McDonald's.
If you haven't cut the cord yet, you may have seen a very familiar face in the fast food company's latest commercials for its buttermilk chicken tenders. Marianne Muellerleile, who played Norma Bates in more than 100 episodes of Passions between 2001 and 2008, touts the eatery's latest offering as passable for her own homemade chicken tenders. And it's a good thing, too, because she has more important things to do -- like hang out at the pool, work on jigsaw puzzles, and marvel at the up-and-down action of her Barcalounger.
In addition to appearing on Passions, Muellerleile has also appeared on Santa Barbara, Sunset Beach, The Young and the Restless, and Days of our Lives.
You can check out the 30-second spot titled "Dinner at Grandma's: Sunday" below. And for a limited time, you can pick up four buttermilk chicken tenders for just $3 at participating McDonald's.
