The Young and the Restless' Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) is pushing the age of 76, but the German-born actor isn't letting age slow him down. In addition to basically carrying the CBS daytime show as Genoa City's fan-favorite soap patriarch and promoting his new autobiography, I'll Be Damned, Braeden is also making a cameo appearance in his son, Christian Gudegast's, upcoming film, Den of Thieves.
"Am on my way to Atlanta to be in my son's film called Den of Thieves, starring Gerard Butler, 50 Cent, O'Shea Jackson, etc! My son will direct!" he wrote over the weekend in a series of tweets, followed by, "Am doing my first scene with my son directing me... what a trip! He knows his stuff, I'm very impressed! Controls every aspect of the film."
Braeden also posted a photo from the set of him posing with O'Shea Jackson and Gerard Butler, along with others working on the film.
Den of Thieves, written by Gudegast and Paul Sheuring, follows a group of gang members who devise a plan to rob the Federal Reserve Bank of downtown Los Angeles right under the noses of Los Angeles' most feared division of law enforcement. 50 Cent will play one of the expert bank robbers alongside Gerard Butler, who both stars in and acts as producer of the film.
