The Germans gave us bratwursts, Levi Strauss, the accordion, and glue sticks, but soap fans' favorite thing from Germany would have to be The Young and the Restless' Eric Braeden (Victor Newman). And speaking of the Bredenbek-born actor, he was just inducted into the German-American Hall of Fame.
The actor took to Twitter to announce the news, sharing with fans a photo of him thinking about his speech for the special event.
The German-American Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization established by prominent Americans of German ancestry to recognize and celebrate the impact of German immigrants to the United States. Additional 2017 inductees include piano maker Henry Steinway, sex therapist "Dr Ruth" Westheimer, baseball player Lou Gehrig, and actress Doris Day.
UPDATE: Eric Braeden posted a photo during the induction ceremony. You can check it out below.
