There's no place like home for the holidays, and that's exactly where Alyvia Alyn Lind will be when she reprises her role as The Young and the Restless' Faith Newman this Christmas.
The CBS soap opera took to Twitter to announce the news that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon's (Sharon Case) youngest daughter will be back in Genoa City as the town prepares for the holly and jolly season ahead.
As fans of Y&R know, Faith hasn't been seen very often since her portrayer landed a major role in the new Netflix series Daybreak, where she's getting major props for playing the mature-beyond-her-years character of Angelica.
Says Lind of her new job, "Angelica is such a unique character and you never really see roles like this for my age category. When I first read the script and when I first read the first episode and got the audition, I was like, 'Oh my God, I need this role.' I wanted to play Angelica so badly and I usually only call my agents occasionally, like on their birthdays and stuff, and this was the first time that I actually called them to say, 'Oh my God, you pull any strings you have. This is the most amazing role I've ever seen. I need this.'"
Luckily, her intuition was right, and playing the role of Angelica has been a dream come true for the actress, who has been in front of the camera since she joined Y&R in 2011.
"It was such an amazing experience," the actress says of filming the first season of Daybreak. "We are a young group who worked together so well. We had so much fun while filming. This was also my first leading role in a TV show, too. It was such a fun experience to get to work with such amazing and talented people."
At this time, it's unclear if Lind's return to Y&R is centered solely around holiday festivities or if a soap opera Santa has a little bit more in store for the actress when she returns to Gena City. Viewers last saw Nick and Sharon's daughter in July.
