Christel Khalil is once again set to reprise her role as The Young and the Restless' Lily Winters. The actress, who opted to drop down to recurring status in 2018, is heading back to Genoa City the week of January 6.
Soaps in Depth reports that Lily, who has been moving forward off-screen as a newly single woman, following her breakup with Cane (Daniel Goddard), will be briefly dropping onto the canvas. At this time, it's unclear what brings her back to the fold -- but it might have something to do with Devon (Bryton James), Amanda (Mishael Morgan), and Elena (Brytni Sarpy), who all play heavily in storyline next week, according to official show teasers.
Khalil's return stint follows several others she's made in recent months, including reprising the role of Lily for the tribute episodes honoring Kristoff St. John (ex-Neil Winters), to play a character in the novel Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) wrote this summer, and to support Devon (Bryton James) when his rights to the fortune left to him by Katherine Chancellor were threatened.
