Green Day frontman got soap opera fans in a tizzy when he started making cryptic posts about The Young and the Restless on social media earlier this spring, and he's now sharing that he dreams of joining the CBS soap opera.
During a recent appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Armstrong confessed that he'd love to get more into acting and can see himself heading to Y&R's Genoa City or joining another soap opera.
"I like to think of myself as a pretty decent B-movie actor," he said. "I have a thing I wanna do -- and this is not B-movie -- things like The Young and the Restless, or do a soap opera."
Corden responded by saying that he and the The Late Late Show crew have connections at the CBS soap opera and could make some calls on Armstrong's behalf -- if he were serious.
"I'm dead serious," the singer shared. "Let's do it!"
Armstrong, who has a bit of acting experience that includes popping on stage during the Broadway run of the Green Day show American Idiot, has made a couple of social media posts about Y&R. Check out a photo that he shared from the set of the soap in February and another Y&R Instagram post that he shared below, and let us know what you think about him possibly appearing in Genoa City.
